Are there any graphic artists in here can help with a guitar?
On this MSA I've got and am redoing, it has a beautiful birdseye maple neck under the fretboard and I think I'd rather have artwork frets painted/applied, once I've got the lacquer crazing resolved.
Do we have anyone here into graphic arts wanting to take on that? I've got a picture with the slab still on, and I can take some when I get the neck back.
Given that MSA tell me that this was built as Bud Carter's personal guitar, I'm leaning towards keeping some sort of a nod to that "Buddy" decal, but that's not set in stone
I'm not sure if this is the right section:mods can move it if they find a better match

2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Am I understanding this correctly that you thinking about creating the same "see thru" effect as the later "silk screen" printed lacquer MSAs had?
I think you can have a stick-on clear film printed at most print shops. If you find a "bright" kid working there, he/she may even be able to do the CAD work for you.
You might want to direct them to a fret-calculation web site like: https://www.stewmac.com/fret-calculator/

Those who produce Tablature did never use it.
I say it humorously, but I mean it.

Indeed, but I like the idea of getting someone artistic to design one. My MonsterBud has some tricolor gold leaf work from a local motorcycle shop, and I thought I'd see what someone else would create, as my imagination runs to the musical and notsomuch to the graphic. I miss Mike Auldridge, he was good at that stuff (he designed all the Seldom Scene T-shirts and some of their albums)
