If you are talking about getting a dobro-like sound from your pedal steel, the settings on the GE7 are all the way down-up-down-up-down-up-down (left to right), then adjust for taste. I raise the 100 and 6.4k off the floor to about -10, and lower the 200 to +10.
To get more realistic Do-Bro sound out of a Boss GE-7 use a nylon or plastic bar.
Set level in middle on the GE-7, Use volume pedal to control playing volume.
